Country Calling Codes List — FAQ
How do I find out which country a phone code belongs to?
Look for the number after the + sign in the list above — for example, +44 is the United Kingdom and +971 is the United Arab Emirates. You can also type part of a country or code into the search box.
Which country codes are shared by several countries?
Several codes cover more than one country on this site. The most widely shared is +1, used by 3 countries and territories.
What does the + mean in a phone number?
The + is a placeholder for your local international exit code (00 in the UK and most of Europe, 011 in the US and Canada). On a mobile phone you can type + directly.
What country is +247?
The +247 code belongs to Ascension Island, a British overseas territory in the South Atlantic. It is not a sovereign country, so it has no page on this site, but the code is listed in the international numbering plan.
